You can test the connection quality by executing the
traceroute command.
It will show how the data travels the Internet on the way from our
computer to yours. The list begins with our server and ends with your
computer or a proxy server of your Internet provider. Each line shows:
- TTL
- Computer name
- Computer IP address
- Time required to establish connection with this computer.
It's checked three times to acquire statistics. The longer is this time,
the slower the connection. 200-300 ms is considered normal. Asterisk (*)
or exclamation point (!) showing in this field means serious communication
problems.
