- Download period. Initially the IDLe receives the data each 10 minutes. The interval can be changed if necessary. To do so, change the "Download period (min)" value. The interval can not be shorter than 2 minuter. The data will be downloaded immediately at the click of the "Start download" button, though.
- Keep connection. Keep the connection active during the aforementioned interval. In this case, the MetaStock can download the data and chart them in real time.
- Send data to clients. Send data to MetaStock, TradeStation, or Ensign in real time. It has the same functionality as the button with the same name in the main IDLe window.
- Fast download from - Server address where data is located for the fast download scheme.
- Scroll to active item. Scroll the main window in such a way, as to make the current updated instrument visible.
- Locked Items. If at the moment of data receipt you should open the file with the MetaStock Downloader, the IDLe won't be able to save the information in it.
- Ask when such file is encontered, IDLe will notify user and then retry after confirmation
- Skip IDLe will merely start receiving quotations for the next instrument.
- Ignore If the file is really locked IDLe will display an error message and stop. MetaStock sometimes incorrectly marks files as locked. In such case IDLe will not produce an error.
- Syncronize local time. If the Keep Connection option is selected, check this line to synchronize your computer's clock with the server. Otherwise, the data downloaded in real time may be corrupted.
- Adjust midnight bar. For 24-hour markets, the time of opening and closing of a session is assumed to be 00:00. MetaStock 7.0 excludes the exact time of the session closing and opening from the total session time, thus the bar with 00:00 opening will not be shown. To work around this problem time of the bar has to be adjusted. Entering -2 in the "Adjust midnight bar" field would shift the midnight bar by 2 minutes. It won't affect periods starting from 5 minutes and longer. It's not used for shorter periods. If you are not using MetaStock leave the field blank.
- On disconnect. In the event of disconnect, the IDLe may try to reconnect. To activate this option, select "Reconnect automatically". If you would like the IDLe to request password before reconnecting, select "Reconnect manually". If you should select "Stay disconnected", IDLe will not do anything after being disconnected.
- Main window state. If you wish to see the main window on top of all other windows when the messages are displayed or the data download is completed, select "Bring to front on message" or "Bring to front on data received" respectively.
