Quote Spread Sheet window shows the current information quotes.

Figure 3.
The upper left hand corner of the table contains a clock (1) displaying the current time of the server. This time is refreshed each second over the computer network. The refresh frequency will tell you about the connection quality. Stopped clock will mean a data jam somewhere on the way from the server to the AFMCharts. Usually such jams take care of themselves in a few seconds.
The left hand column (2) contains the code of the financial instruments. The codes can be edited if necessary. The editing should be completed each time by pressing the Enter key. If a correct code is entered, it will replace the code that used to be in the field.
To add a new instrument to the table, you should enter the appropriate code in the empty bottom line. This will cause the quotations to appear in the fields (4) and a new empty line to append at the end of the table.
Columns (4) show current informational quotations Last, Bid, Ask. Decreasing values are shown in red, the increasing ones in green. Grey background will mean an unchanged quotation.
You can set signal (control) values for each instrument. When the instrument (Last) hits a signal value, an alarm is sounded and an asterisk (*) is displayed before the value in the column (5). To set a signal value, you should enter it in the column (5) and press Enter.
You can enter several signal values for each instrument in the value1/value2/.../valueN format, for example 120.50/120.70/121.00. The field width in the column (5) can be ajusted by clicking the button (6) (Signal or >)
AFMCharts uses the standard operating system sound as the melody. Changing it will change the AFMCharts melody too. For example in Microsoft Windows 95-98 the standard sound can be changed through Start->Settings->Control Panel->Sounds->Default Beep.
IMPORTANT!
- If your sound card is busy when the alarm is to be sounded, for example the screen saver music is played, the alarm of the AFMCharts will not sound. The asterisk before the signal value will be displayed anyway.
- Quote Stread Sheet will respond only to the quotations that it has processed. If the connection was broken, the quotations lost because of that will not sound the alarm.
